If you have a husband who prefers to be with his drinking buddies than eating together with his family, do not nag about it. Impress your hubby with this dish and he might just go cold turkey on the nights out with his drinking buddies. After all, the easiest way to his heart is through his stomach so just fill him and he will never go astray even a single meal.
BEER-STEAMED CLAMS
You will need:
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 dozens live Manila clams, scrubbed well
2 cups beer
3 tablespoons butter
1 bunch cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste

Here’s how:
Fry bacon in a medium pot for about 3 minutes. Add the onion and
garlic and continue cooking until the onion becomes translucent.
Stir in the clams along with the beer and bay leaves. Scrape bottom
as you stir to get more flavor. Cover the pot and steam the clams for 5 to 10
minutes, until they open. Discard clams that remain closed.
Add butter and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
Stir gently then serve.
